Roll Tide.

The alma mater of both my father and grandfather, the University of Alabama was always on my radar when choosing a college to spend my undergraduate career. Maybe it was the campus visits for multiple football games throughout my childhood or the close proximity to home which inspired my final decision. Either way, here I am.

Football fan or not, Alabama football infiltrates student life each September with vengeance, giving the entire student body a cause to root for, a fight which each of us plays part. For girls, this means being on the prowl all summer for the perfect game day outfits to remain spirited throughout the tailgating, game, and after party activities. For me, this is just another excuse to get dressed up and break out the multitude of houndstooth in my closet. Thanks Bear Bryant.

 Fall semester is nipping at my heels even as Alabama's summer weather continues to run rampant. This limbo between summer and fall fashion is the perfect time to snag the remnants of clearance racks at end of season sales, giving life to clothes deemed closet mishaps. I managed to snag a couple of deals to round out my summer wardrobe and hopefully carry into the colder months. I found a great white printed day dress, perfect for the most domestic Alabama gal. Rightly, I could not bring myself to adorn the frock with pearls and pumps. Que distressed denim and gold collar.

Just for fun, I styled the same dress for the fall/winter months, -er months if you will. Since chunky knits, tights, and oxfords will be in every girl's wardrobe this season, it transitions quite well. Bring it on, October!

Tia and Tamara, Mary-Kate and Ashley, Kim and Kourtney, Abbey and Lily, the best celebrity broads always have an equally quirky/good-looking counterpart sharing the gene pool. Mine happens to be super stylish. (among other admirable qualities) Though shy, this lady exudes confidence and dares to be noticed with her fashion choices.
On this rather sweltering August night, we both opted to style chunky sweaters using the summer-sweater method, choosing a breezy top with shorty shorts usually appropriate for junior highers. But hey, as long as the top is covered its okay, right? Who cares. We both picked out black sweaters and didn't mean to match, so it must be documented, and she's absolutely gorgeous and I wanted to brag. Boom. Run-on sentence for the win.

P.S Anna you are not forgotten. She is the Khloe to our Kardashian-wannabe-trifecta. The third sister needs a post all to her self. The diva cannot be contained to half of a post. xoxo
